About Kim
Kim MacIver leads the Your Trusted CFO team and is the go-to for all things in the realms of bookkeeping and financial advisory services.
Having received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a minor in accounting from the University of Baltimore, she knows tax preparation and accounting inside and out.
After taking time to raise a family, Kim began working for a public accounting firm in January 2012. Working in the small business accounting division, she quickly realized how much she enjoyed connecting with business owners and helping them manage their books. She is QuickBooks certified in both desktop and online and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
In 2013, Kim decided to launch an outsourced bookkeeping practice. My Bookkeeper was born out of her passion for helping small businesses thrive. Over time, Kim realized that the needs of small businesses – and her own abilities to support those businesses – went well beyond bookkeeping and accounting. Kim began offering advisory services as an outsourced CFO, and in 2023 My Bookkeeper became Your Trusted CFO.

Cristin Scott
Cristin Scott is the Accounting Manager for Your Trusted CFO. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she worked for a large forklift dealership as the Financial Reporting Supervisor. Cristin was responsible for supervising all day-to-day accounting functions, as well as inventory management and financial reporting. In 2003, Cristin took a position as a Senior Financial Analyst with a global bank. For two years, she supervised their cost allocations division.
After taking time to raise a family, Cristin attended Towson University and earned her Master’s degree in mathematics and secondary education. She was a high school math teacher for 7 years before returning to the accounting world.
In 2022, Cristin joined Kim’s team at what is now Your Trusted CFO. She enjoys the challenge of meeting every client’s needs and building an honest, trusting relationship with each client is critical.
Taylor Owen
Taylor Owen, Staff Accountant at Your Trusted CFO, is a cum laude graduate of University of South Florida, with a BA in Psychology. She found her love for Accounting at the end of a long career in General Management where she was chiefly focused on tracking daily sales and monthly targets, inventory management, and training high functioning teams of people. Among other things, she now takes pleasure in categorizing your expenses, running your payroll, and reconciling your accounts to balance your books.
In her free time, Taylor applies her analytical skills to designing garments and self-publishing knitting patterns. She has even developed her own double accounting system to accurately detail the math required to fit up to twelve unique sizes – an uncommon accommodation in most modern sweater patterns. To unwind, you’ll find Taylor working in her garden among the community of cats she cares for in her Baltimore city neighborhood.
